RAVENOL partners performed successfully at DTM

5 May 2022

The opening round of the DTM season (German Touring Car Masters) ended for RAVENOL, the participant of the International exhibition of automotive industry InterAuto, with two victories.

The DTM visited the Portimao circuit in Portugal at Algarve International Circuit this weekend to kick off its 2022 campaign April 30 and May 1.

The first winner of the DTM 2022 season became Lucas Auer named as an WINWARD Mercedes-AMG (a Ravelol partner) performance driver for this season.

The second was Luca Stolz from HRT Mercedes-AMG, also a Ravelol partner. Luca Stolz took also Autohero Fastest Lap for the fastest lap time.

For another RAVENOL partner - the Team Rosberg - the first race at the very beginning ended unsuccessfully. Both team pilots Nico Muller and Dev Gore exited due to mechanical damage. But the next day, Nico Muller managed to take revenge by winning the race (11th in his career). Muller said he was relieved to end his victory drought in the opening round of the 2022 season, feeling the work put in by his team during the winter is already paying dividends.

The 20-year-old David Schumacher got his first taste of a GT3 car at Mercedes young driver test in November and completed further running in the German marques AMG GT3 in a private test at Portimao last week. Having overseen Schumacher during the three-day test in Portugal, Winward team principal Hohenadel lauded the German driver for quickly acclimatizing to GT3 machinery after years of exclusively racing single-seaters.

The next DTM round will take place June 17 through 19 at Imola where RAVENOL partner will also participate.

The large RAVENOLs portfolio of products including lubricants, hydraulic oils, greases and other industrial supplies will be displayed at InterAuto.

See you August 23 through 26 at Crocus Expo!
