Yokohama Speed Festival surpassed all expectations!

Yokohama Speed Festival, an unprecedented motor show, initiated and organized by Yokohama Rus was held within the frames of the 7th International exhibition InterAuto.It should be noted that the entertaining program Yokohama Speed Festival is charitable and non-commercial. All raised finances (one million roubles) will go to the fund for the victims of tragic events which had occurred in Japan.

Gala Opening of Yokohama Speed Festival took place on the first day of the exhibition, August 24, 2011. Plenipotentiary of Japan in the Russian Federation, and Mayor of Khimki town participated in the event.

During the five days of the show the audience of Yokohama Speed Festival had an opportunity to watch the breathtaking show with participation of world famous Japanese racing drivers, Team Orange drift show, Russian drivers’ show, extreme show by a special guest from Japan Ikuo Hanawa, ninja show and a spectacular geishas parade which were held at the outdoor area across from Crocus Expo pavilions. Russian drifters, Mitjet racers, Maxim Travkin, Formula 3 pilot, and professional Stunt Art riders team demonstrated their sports skills. Yokohama Rus corporation provided the journalists with a unique opportunity to take a ride in a race taxi – Nissan Fair Lady.

Oshima Junichi, President OOO Yokohama Rus, expressed his gratitude to all visitors and participants of the festival at the closing ceremony: «I am very glad that Yokohama Speed Festival had drawn such attention. I would like to thank everybody who organized this holiday and transformed it into a fascinating and unforgettable show. I am very pleased that the Russian citizens supported our charitable action. I would call it the principal returns of the last days. All raised finances will go to the Japanese Red Cross organizations and will help those who had suffered from the monstrous natural disaster in the last spring.
