Press-release of the 7th International exhibition Interauto

Crocus Expo IEC will traditionally incorporate August 24 through 28, 2011 the most prominent manufacturers and suppliers of automotive goods within the frames of the 7th International exhibition InterAuto 2011.

InterAuto 2011 is supported by the Government of the Moscow region, the Ministry for Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation,the Ministry for Transport of the Russian Federation and the Association of the Russian Automakers

The last edition of InterAuto in 2010 was held within the frames of the 3rd Moscow International Automobile Salon and it showed very good attendance and increasing interest from professionals (including foreign specialists). It proved to be one of the largest and dynamically developing Crocus Expo IEC’s projects and today it is a highly reputable profile motor show in Russia

2011 edition will be even more diverse and scale. The overall exhibit space will exceed 43 000 sq m. More than 600 exhibitors from 17 countries worldwide (Russia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Israel, the USA, Japan, Turkey, China, Taiwan, Cyprus, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania) will present the latest achievements and developments in manufacture of automotive components, spare parts, accessories and service and garage equipment. OAO AvtoVaz, the leader of the Russian car industry, will present the exposition of their latest models, and Yokohama Rus will unveil information about opening of their first enterprise in Russia. The exhibition provides the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. The show continues to compliment and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed.

The exhibitors will be accommodated in two exhibition pavilions: Pavilion 2 (halls 5, 6, 7 and 8) and Pavilion 3 (hall 14) according to thematic location. The outdoor space opposite across the pavilions will also host certain exhibits.

Principal thematic sections of the exhibition:

  • Pavilion 2:

hall 5: car electronics, safety and security systems;

hall 6: car care products, lacquers, paint and oils;

hall 7: maintenance and repair equipment and tools, tires and disks;

hall 8: automotive components, spare parts.

  • Pavilion 3:

hall 14: passenger cars, components and tuning.

One of main objectives which the organizers of InterAuto set is organization of an event with wide participation of profile companies and professional associations’ representatives, creation of comfortable conditions for exhibitors and visitors.

InterAuto is a versatile project possessing an objective view on the modern automobile industry and new developing technologies, supplying the automobile industry with unique materials and equipment.

The business program of the exhibition promises to be sated.

Press conference devoted to the Gala Opening of the show will take place August 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. (Pavilion 2 Crocus Expo IEC, Conference hall ). The speakers will share their professional opinion and forecasts for the future; will discuss prospects and possibilities of branch development and relative issues.

The Gala Official Opening Ceremony of InterAuto will take place at 12:00 p.m. in the foyer of the second pavilion.

  • Alexey Rakhmanov, Director of the Department of Motor Industry and Agricultural Mechanical Engineering of the Ministry for Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation;

  • Igor Korovkin, Chief Executive Association of Russian Carmakers NP (R);
  • and other guests of honor.

Opening of Yokohama Speed Festival will take place in the third pavilion at 01:00 p.m. Yokohama Rus press conference will be held within the frames of the festival. All guests of the event are invited to an entertainment show program after the official part.

A breathtaking show with participation of world famous Japanese racing drivers, Team Orange drift show, Russian drivers’ show, extreme show by a special guest from Japan Ikuo Hanawa, ninja show and a spectacular geishas parade will be held at the outdoor area across from Crocus Expo pavilions. Yokohama Rus corporation will provide the journalists with a unique opportunity to take a ride in a race taxi – Nissan Fair Lady.

An exhibition of Satoshi Ueda’s photos devoted to Japan's Fukusima nuclear meltdown, result of a catastrophic earthquake will be organized within the frames of the festival. The festival is charitable and non-commercial.

Avtozapchasti I Tseny magazine will hold an awarding ceremony for the winners of the first independent prize Automotive Component of the Year. The ceremony will take place August 25, 2011 from 01:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. in Aquarium Hotel hall.

The 4th professional conference of Russian Automobile Dealers will be held August 25 and 26, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. within the frames of the exhibition. Participants of the conference will have an opportunity to get comprehensive and clear view of the situation and development tendencies of the Russian and global autodealers’ activity and will have an excellent platform to encourage professional networking. The organizer of the conference is the Association of Russian AutoDealers (ROAD).
